I tweaked my blog post about helping my friend, singer-songwriter Christian Beach make music videos during COVID-19 quarantine for publication in New Jersey Stage magazine. The article appears in the latest issue (No. 71). Check it out!

Happy #InternationalSynthDay…here I am with my keyboard rig from around 1989/90…synths include an Ensoniq ESQ-1 and Roland U-20 (not pictured: a little Casio CZ-230S). Other gear shown here: Ensoniq Mirage DSK, a Kawai Q80 sequencer and an Alesis HR-16 drum machine)
Happy 13th anniversary to us!
Had a visitor outside our back door this morning. This squirrel was, by far, more cooperative with getting his photo taken than either of our boys. It even turned toward me.
Anniversary date night with @wesleystace at @randynownj’s New Man Cave in Hightstown, NJ!
UPDATE: I’m home! And shaven! And showered! And finally drinking good coffee for the first time since Tuesday morning. Still a bit fatigued and woozy, but my biggest issue is the nearly 20 pounds I gained from all the fluids they pumped into me. And guess what?! Exercising in excessive heat can trigger a relapse of malignant hyperthermia, so I’m not sure what the future holds for me as a runner, especially going into the summer. It’s great to be home, but this entire episode really sucks.
Ah…classic hospital miscommunication. Apparently, the doctor telling me I could be going home this afternoon was bullshit. Because infectious diseases is still treating this as an infection even though no bacterial infection has been detected in my blood. They are still waiting on the results of a blood culture for a final verdict. Meanwhile, they changed my medication this morning, which I’ve just been told will require me to be here at least one more night. Nobody told me this until hours after this new medication started. So, so stupid. Earliest I’ll be able to get out now is Friday morning. 🤦‍♂️
